About

I'm currently a postdoc researcher at the University of Waterloo and Mila-Quebec AI Institute in Canada (working with Igor Grossmann and Amir-Hossein Karimi).
Before that, I was a Teaching Fellow in Cognitive Science in the Social Sciences Division and the College at the University of Chicago from 2023 to 2025. I earned my Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Chicago (supervised by Leslie M. Kay). Before pursuing my Ph.D., I earned a Master’s degree in Piano Performance from Temple University in Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts (Philosophy, History of Science and Mathematics) from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I was born and raised in Yunnan, one of the least developed provinces in China.
